RARE UNICORN! The 2003 Chanel Sakura Pink Medium Classic Double Flap is arguably one of THE most highly coveted and sought after bags ever made by Chanel and is EXTREMELY hard to find, especially in this near mint condition!
In Sakura Pink caviar leather and 24k gold plated hardware, which Chanel stopped making in 2008. The color is “sakura pink” as coined by Chanel vintage enthusiasts, a medium bubblegum pink named after the Japanese cherry blossom flower. There are two types of vintage sakura pink caviar – one with uniform all-over color and one where the raised part of the caviar nodes are a deeper pink and then lighten towards the bottom of the nodes. This one is the latter, only found in the 8 million series from 2003-2004, and harder to find pristine. This bag has all-original (non-replaced) hardware and NO touch ups or repainting.
Exterior is 9.5/10, small hairline scratches on CC clasp and slight black marks on clasp closure, all shown. Otherwise impeccable, including the perfect corners. Puffy shiny quilts. Interior is 9.5/10, small glue stain on the inside zipper pull, slight chipping on zipper, very small unnoticeable dots on inside flap. Otherwise impeccable – no stains or odors inside.
